Hazara University is located 16 km Karakurum Highway, Mansehra. This university was established in year 2000, initially with an enrollement of some 450 students. Today the students enrolled in this university are more then 5000 in almost 23 departments.
The university has three campuses currently operating, i.e. Garden Campus, which is the main
body campus of universtiy and other two are Haripur and Havelian campuses, in Districts Haripur and Abbottabad respectively.
This university faced the tremors of 2005 Kashmir earthquake, and most of the infrastructure was demolished,
which is in process of reconstruction. The university has got different things, which makes it
really a beauty.
First is its location, where the most of the times, weather remains pleasent. Its easily accessible. The d
ifferent fascinations are an archeological museum, a physiantry, an agricultural research farm & a tea processing plant nearby to visit.
Different departments are Microbiology, Genetics, Botany, Zoology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Journalism, Law, Statistics, Biochemistry, Business Adminstration, Information Technology, Physchology, Culture & Heritage, Archeology, Urdu, English, Arabic, Pharmacy, Agriculture, Envirnmental Sciences & Tourism.
